Pi Kappa Phi

Founded in 1904 at the College of Charleston, Pi Kappa Phi is a social fraternity with chapters at over 180 college campuses. What began as a Greek-letter organization founded by three men has evolved into a movement of over 130,000 initiated brothers. For more than 110 years, the brotherhood has followed a mission to “develop leaders” and “encourage service” in the community. With members such as baseball Hall-of-Fame player Tommy Lasorda and novelist Thomas Wolfe, Pi Kapp men go on to pursue successful careers in business, entertainment, sports, and more.

Pi Kappa Phi brothers aim to put others first before themselves. In 1977, the organization started The Ability Experience, an initiative to support disability awareness and empower individuals around the globe. Every year, members raise funds through charity events to improve the lives of people with disabilities. They also volunteer at service programs such as Ability Camp, Journey of Hope, and Build America. Over the years, brothers have raised more than $15 million dollars towards the Experience’s life-changing opportunities.
