The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic organization that was founded in 1850. Open to both men and women, the Order has about 10,000 chapters and 500,000 members around the world. Though OES was founded with Christian ideals, it is open to all religions as long as prospective members meet certain specifications. Notable members of OES include American Red Cross founder Clara Barton and writer Laura Ingalls Wilder.
OES is known for its charitable giving. Over the years, the Order has provided funds for research into Alzheimer's disease, juvenile asthma and juvenile diabetes. The Order currently supports the Cancer Research Project, Arthritis Fund, Heart Fund, Knights Templar Eye Foundation and Shriners Hospitals, among many other charities. OES provides a great deal of support to its members in the form of scholarships for younger members and retirement centers for seniors.
The Collegiate Standard is proud to offer beautiful Order of the Eastern Star jewelry items to all OES members. Members can choose from a wide range of OES paraphernalia jewelry like necklace pendants, bangles, and unique rings. Our most popular item is the OES sterling silver ring. This hand-crafted ring is encrusted with sparkling cubic zirconia. We also offer an OES dome ring and the unique silver square ring, which pays homage to the Order's founding year.
