Alpha Chi Omega is a women's fraternity that was founded in 1885 at DePauw University. The fraternity's symbol is a three-stringed lyre because music was such an important part of its foundation. It was even thought of as a music sorority in its earliest days.
Many members of Alpha Chi Omega have gone on to become household names. Actresses Alyson Hannigan, Dawn Wells and Meredith Monroe were once ACO sisters. Singer Aubrey O'Day, Olympians Julie Brown and Julia Mariano and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice were all part of the ACO family.
Sisters can show off their pride with ΑΧΩ jewelry from the Collegiate Standard. Ear cuffs, rings, pendants and more are offered with the Alpha Chi Omega letters, symbol and official color.
