Alpha Sigma Pi

Alpha Sigma Pi has a legacy of fostering lifelong friendships between its members. The sorority was founded in 1914 by six women: Dorothy Davis Fuller, Ruth Davis Jacobsen, Ruth Elizabeth Lee, Florence Amelia Linderman, Elsie Elliot Severence, and Ruth Clarissa Ward. These founding members desired to promote excellence in academics, community, leadership, personal growth, and friendship. Today, the sisterhood has a tight-knit network of women who support each other for life.

United by the motto, “Not For Ourselves Alone,” sisters are well-rounded women who are involved on their campuses and off. Many members participate in multiple extracurricular activities and leadership positions in residence life, admissions, honor societies, peer education, and other organizations. Alpha Sigma Pi showcases their commitment to giving back with a philanthropic focus of literacy. Sorority members are involved in various fundraisers, community service projects, and charity events such as Relay for Life. Determined to make a difference in society, sisters give their all wherever they go.
