Delta Phi Lambda is a strong national sisterhood of “Dedicated Female Leaders.” Established in 1998, the organization’s founders desired to create an Asian-interest sorority to promote Asian awareness on college campuses by educating their peers on Asian culture, breaking stereotypes, and sharing their heritage. Over the past two decades, the sorority has grown into 19 undergraduate chapters in 11 states across the United States. This “Everlasting Sisterhood” has empowered women leaders by providing guidance, support, and educational opportunities.
DPhiL sisters “let their light shine forth” by serving communities on and off campus. Delta Phi Lambda has a philanthropic focus of osteoporosis awareness and prevention. The sorority raises money for organizations like the National Osteoporosis Foundation and the Better Bones, Better Bodies Osteoporosis Education Project. With women at a higher risk of developing osteoporosis, sisters also educate young women on the importance of taking preventative measures and maintaining healthy lifestyles in early adulthood. The Collegiate Standard honors this endeavor by offering a line of Delta Phi Lambda merchandise and unique silver jewelry.
