Gamma Sigma Sigma

Living by the motto, “Unity in Service,” Gamma Sigma Sigma sisters prove that there’s strength in numbers. The national service sorority was founded in 1952 by representatives from eight college and universities at Beekman Tower in New York City. Today, the organization has over 50 active collegiate chapters in the country. Alumni like award-winning opera singer Jessye Norman and former First Lady Barbara Bush, a National Honorary Member, form a strong network of women making an impact in their communities.

Gamma Sigma Sigma chapters have a mission to serve on- and off-campus, meeting the “local, national, and global needs" of those around them. The sisterhood is involved in a range of service initiatives, inspired by values of Unity, Leadership, Diversity, Partnership, and Compassion. Chapters partner with charitable organizations such as March of Dimes, American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society. Members also engage in national service efforts like Project I.M.P.A.C.T., enabling them to support organizations across the U.S.
