Gamma Eta

Gamma Eta is on a mission to foster a diverse community of women from all backgrounds. Established in 1995 by eighteen women attending the University of Florida, Gamma Eta became the first sorority in the state. Founded to create a support system for women from different cultural backgrounds, the organization has participated in the National Multicultural Greek Council since 2006. The sorority has eight chapters in the United States and stands by seven pillars of success, including Strength, Unity, and Service.

Sisters develop a sense of purpose and community through several professional, academic, and service opportunities. The sisterhood has a philanthropic focus of Breast Cancer Awareness and is a partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Members strive to create a “culturally aware atmosphere,” where they can be proud of their identity and support each other professionally, personally, and academically. Following their motto “Today and Always,” Gamma Eta women are faithful to their word and work hard to reach their goals.
