With over 330,000 lifetime members and 300 chartered chapters, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is known to have presence. Founded in 1856, the college fraternity has established chapters in every state in the U.S. Sigma Alpha Epsilon has welcomed members such as Nobel Prize laureate and author William Faulkner, TV personality and singer Nick Lachey (98 Degrees), and entrepreneur Josh Abramson (co-founder of CollegeHumor). Every SAE man strives to become “The True Gentleman,” a brother who lives with integrity to make a positive change wherever he goes.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon offers experiences that members take for life. The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation has provided community service opportunities and resources for success. Every April, SAE chapters participate in the True Gentleman Day of Service, in which members engage in a service project or fundraising event. Sigma Alpha Epsilon also has a long-time partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, raising over $800,000 since 2001.
